Knife Crime

Tuesday 13th September
As part of the national on-going Knife Crime prevention awareness campaign, pupils were visited by PC Neil Sharpe who delivered a hard hitting assembly emphasising the dangers of knife crime. PC Sharpe was keen to stress that Bromsgrove is a very safe area to live but wanted to raise awareness to our pupils in KS3 about making the right choices when it comes to carrying a knife and what to do if they know someone has a knife. PC Sharpe’s informative presentation, helped to clarify some misconceptions around knife crime, explained how young people can stay safe and talked through the effects on everyone involved in a knife crime incident. During PC Sharp’s talk the children watched some carefully selected videos that really hit home the message with regards to how devastating knife crime can be to both the victim and perpetrator, their families, friends and wider community.
