  • Cashless Catering – BioStore Card System

    For the continued safety of our children, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our new cashless catering system, Biostore, which will be active from Thursday 3rd September. The school will now become a cashless area and we ask that you do not send cash into school.  This will help to keep our children and staff as safe as possible and avoid potential contamination from handling cash.

  • Healthy Snacks

    During the next academic year, we would like to continue focusing on the well-being of our pupils and we want to ensure that they have the best fuel inside their bodies to help them learn. As we know from research undertaken by the School Food Trust, eating healthily can positively affect children’s behaviour in the classroom. As a school, it is part of our responsibility to help children learn how to eat healthily. We want to ensure that what the children eat at break times in particular is categorised as a healthy snack.

  • Appeal Information 2020

    Appeals General Information

    The Department for Education has passed emergency regulations that introduce flexibility in the way that appeals are held, given the current social distancing measures in place.  They have also amended some of the deadlines surrounding the timescales.  The Appeals Team within the Local Authority as well as every admission authority in the county that makes arrangements for independent appeals to be heard, will be investigating ways of dealing with appeals using written representations, as well as bringing panels together via telephone or other means.   • CEOP have created a section on their website dedicated to supporting parents during COVID-19

    CEOP have created a section on their website dedicated to supporting parents during COVID-19 and the closure of schools. Each fortnight, they will be releasing new home activity packs with simple 15 minute activities that parents/carers can do with their child to support their online safety at a time when they will spending more time online at home.

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

    You will understandably be concerned about the current situation regarding the spread of COVID-19. We are following all advice from the government and remain open as usual. Currently, we do not have any students or staff who have confirmed cases of the virus, however some are self-isolating following advice from NHS 111 or due to underlying health conditions.

    On Friday 28th February we had out first Wellbieng Enrichment Day. The day included the whole school partaking in Yoga. Chair Yoga, different Mental health workshops and producing their own Zentangle!

  • Shrove Tuesday 2020

    The long build up to Easter is called Lent. The day before Lent begins is called Shrove Tuesday. 'Shrove' means being forgiven for wrong-doings. It happens on a different date each year depending on when Easter is. This year Shrove Tuesday was on 25th February.
